Creating Unique Outdoor Living Spaces for your Property.
Bruce Maclaren started landscaping from an engineering background while teaching high school. He opened his first pool company, York Simcoe Pools in 1979 with the concept of creating an outdoor living area for his customers. In the early 80's, Bruce left teaching and worked with Unilock to develop the methodology of applying interlocking brick and retaining wall material to residential landscaping. In 1988 Bruce's creative Aurora landscaping approach won the Gold Medal at the National Home Show for the first rock waterfall wrapping around the edge of a pool. It was the beginning of a new era of concepts for pools in Canada.
In the late 1990's Bruce started building gunite pools with beach entrances, stone ridges and vanishing edges that can now be built with insulated walls and floors making for inexpensive heated pools and Jacuzzis.
Now, Visionary Landscapes and their Aurora landscaping crew, creates remarkable mortared stone walls as well as unique wooden cabanas, decks, stone fireplaces and pits to complete the perfect touch on outside living space.
